title: Ask a Question in Community
description: How to post a question, tie it to a course, and what happens when an admin moderates it.
---

If your academy has Community enabled, you can ask questions and get answers from admins and other students.

## Posting a question

1. From the sidebar, click **Community**.
2. Click **Ask Community**.
3. Enter a title and your question. If your question is about a specific course, pick it from the dropdown so students in that course can find it more easily.
4. Click **Publish**.

Your question is visible to the whole academy right away, and anyone can answer, comment, or vote on it.

## Editing or deleting your own post

You can edit your own question at any time using the **Edit** button at the top of the question page — this updates the title, body, and course link. You (or an admin) can also delete your question or your own comments using the trash icon.

:::info[Comments and answers can't be edited]
Only questions can be edited, and only by their original author. Answers and comments can be deleted, but not edited — if you need to correct one, delete it and post a new one.

## If an admin removes your post

Admins can delete any question or answer in Community, including yours, but they can't edit your posts for you. There's no separate flagging step — moderation in Community is just delete (by you or an admin) and edit (by you only).
