title: Join a Live Class
description: How to find your join link, get reminders, and add a scheduled session to your calendar as a student.
---

If a course you're enrolled in runs scheduled sessions (a **Live class** course), Edvello keeps you on top of them automatically — you don't need to go looking for the join link at the last minute.

## What you get automatically

- **A calendar invite when you enroll.** The welcome email for a Live class course includes a calendar file (`.ics`) for the next session, so you can add it to your calendar right away.
- **Reminder emails.** One about 24 hours before the session and one about 1 hour before, each with the join link.
- **A Join session button.** On your LMS **Home**, a **Join session** card appears while a session is upcoming — click it to open the join link directly.

In the course sidebar, a lesson that's a live session shows a red live icon, so it's easy to spot among your regular lessons.

## If the session time changes

If the admin changes the date, time, or join link for a session you're enrolled in, you'll get a fresh email notification and an updated calendar invite — it updates the existing event on your calendar rather than creating a duplicate.

## After the session

Some courses follow a live session with a graded quiz or a certificate. If the admin notifies you about either, you'll get a link to take the quiz, or your certificate will show up once you're marked complete.
