title: Join a Course
description: How to accept an invite, self-enroll in a free course, or join a paid course as a student in Edvello.
---

There are a few ways you might end up joining a course, depending on how the academy set it up.

## You got an invite link by email

Open the link in the email. If you don't have a Edvello account yet, you'll be asked to sign up first; if you already do, just sign in. Either way, you're brought back to the course's enrollment page — click **Join course** to finish.

Some invites are time-limited or one-time use. If your link doesn't work, ask whoever invited you to send a new one.
:::

## You found the course yourself

If a course is open for self-enrollment, its landing page has a public **Enroll** button:

1. Open the course landing page
2. Click **Enroll**
3. Sign in or sign up
4. Click **Join course**

You're enrolled immediately and land in your LMS.

:::info[No Enroll button?]
If you don't see a public **Enroll** button, the academy has restricted joining to invites or direct add. Reach out to the course admin to request access.
:::

## You were added directly

An admin can add you to a course without any action on your part. If this happens, you'll see the course appear in your [dashboard](/student-onboarding/navigate-your-dashboard) the next time you sign in — no invite or enrollment step needed.

## The course has a price

If a course costs money, you'll need to pay (or use a valid invite) before you can join. Opening the enrollment page without payment or an invite shows a message telling you what's needed.

## What happens right after you join

As soon as you're enrolled, the course appears on your **Home** and **My Learning** pages, and you can open its lessons, submit exercises, and download materials the admin has made available.
