Set Up Enterprise SSO
Connect Google Workspace, Okta, or Auth0 to Edvello and configure OIDC-based Single Sign-On for your organization.
This guide walks through connecting an identity provider (IdP) to Edvello over OIDC. Pick the section for your provider (Google Workspace, Okta, or Auth0) and follow its steps. The Edvello side of the setup is the same across all three; only the IdP-side steps differ.
Google Workspace
1. Create an OAuth app in Google Cloud Console
Go to Google Cloud Console and navigate to APIs & Services → Credentials. Click Create Credentials → OAuth client ID, then configure the OAuth consent screen (choose “External” for testing).
Create the OAuth client ID with:
- Application type: Web application
- Name:
Edvello SSO - Authorized redirect URIs: leave empty for now. You’ll add this after the next step
2. Configure the connection in Edvello
Go to Settings → Authentication → SSO and select Google Workspace. Fill in:
- Issuer URL:
https://accounts.google.com - Email Domain: your workspace domain (e.g.
yourcompany.com) - Client ID: from Google Cloud Console
- Client Secret: from Google Cloud Console
Click Create Connection.
3. Complete the IdP configuration
Copy the Callback URL shown in Edvello. Back in Google Cloud Console, edit your OAuth client and add that Callback URL to Authorized redirect URIs, then save.
4. Activate the connection
Return to Settings → Authentication → SSO in Edvello and activate the connection.
Okta
1. Create an OIDC app in Okta Admin
In the Okta Admin Dashboard, go to Applications → Create App Integration and select OIDC - OpenID Connect. Choose Web Application as the type, leave sign-in redirect URIs empty for now, and set the grant type to Authorization Code.
2. Configure the connection in Edvello
Go to Settings → Authentication → SSO and select Okta. Fill in:
- Issuer URL: your Okta domain (e.g.
https://your-org.okta.com) - Email Domain: your company domain
- Client ID: from the Okta app
- Client Secret: from the Okta app
Click Create Connection.
3. Complete the IdP configuration
Copy the Callback URL from Edvello. In Okta, edit your app and add that URL to Sign-in redirect URIs. Confirm the app allows the openid, email, and profile scopes.
4. Activate the connection
Return to Settings → Authentication → SSO in Edvello and activate the connection.
Auth0
1. Create an application in Auth0
In the Auth0 Dashboard, go to Applications → Create Application. Name it Edvello SSO, choose Regular Web Application as the type, and leave allowed callback URLs empty for now.
2. Configure the connection in Edvello
Go to Settings → Authentication → SSO and select Auth0. Fill in:
- Issuer URL: your Auth0 domain (e.g.
https://your-tenant.auth0.com) - Email Domain: your company domain
- Client ID: from the Auth0 app
- Client Secret: from the Auth0 app
Click Create Connection.
3. Complete the IdP configuration
Copy the Callback URL from Edvello. In Auth0, add that URL to Allowed Callback URLs and confirm OIDC Conformant is enabled.
4. Activate the connection
Return to Settings → Authentication → SSO in Edvello and activate the connection.

All three providers need the same scopes granted:

Troubleshooting
“Failed to register SSO provider”
- Verify your Issuer URL is correct and reachable.
- Check that your IdP supports OIDC, not just SAML.
- Confirm the discovery endpoint exists at
{issuer}/.well-known/openid-configuration.
Callback URL mismatch
- Copy the exact callback URL from the SSO settings page.
- Make sure it matches exactly in your IdP configuration. A trailing slash or an http/https mismatch is enough to break it.
